When we are grounded, our lives progress with more ease, we feel safe and steady in our lives and we move forward with ease. When we are not in this present state we can become fearful and feel unsafe. Life then becomes complicated and more stressful as we struggle to control our outside lives instead of going inward and finding the answers through the wisdom of the body. Our consciousness retreats from the present moment. We are not rooted in our physical bodies or aligned with our Higher Self.
