A full and comprehensive consultation will be completed prior to course of treatments and can be adapted throughout.

Meditation

Using meditation, relaxation and breathing techniques to help relax and guide you to our inner self and connect to your own innate wisdom.


Some of the meditation methods I use are based on a hypnotherapy type technique that takes you to a deep state of relaxation to help open the subconscious mind.

Many of our fears and behaviours are stored here and all the techniques used allow this to be worked with to help support a more positive and healthy mindset and remove old patterns that are no longer required.

Meditation is usually carried out lying down to enable total relaxation, however all needs will be catered for. An initial consultation is included in the price and all meditations are written specifically with your needs and goals in mind.

Sessions can also be managed online.

Aromatherapy Massage

A relaxing massage using organic essential oils.


This type of massage uses essential oils specifically chosen to enhance your experience and developed for your physical, emotional and spiritual needs.


The combination of touch and smell help to promote beneficial changes to your wellbeing by affecting the limbic system, a region of the brain known to be involved in emotional memory.

Oils are blended specifically for your needs and blends can be made for your use post treatment to enhance the benefits long term.

Swedish Massage

Swedish body massage is the combination of many different massage techniques in one session.


During this therapy session I work with the soft tissues and muscles in the body to help restore balance and help to ease muscle tension.

The perfect way to destress and relax your body and mind, Swedish massage can be both relaxing and energizing. 

Reiki

Reiki is Japanese for 'universal life energy' and is used to describe this system of natural healing. 


This tradition was founded by Mikao Usui in the early 20th century and evolved as a result of his research and experience. It is a tradition that is open to any belief system.


This energy nourishes and maintains all living things. When it flows uninterrupted there is balance and harmony within and around us, and we experience a sense of well being.  


Reiki can be used alongside other conventional or complementary treatment and often helps to provide emotional support.


Treatments are carried out fully clothed and usually laying down. The treatment involves gentle placement of hands in a series of non-intrusive positions on or near the body. There is no massage or manipulation involved.


During a Reiki session the whole person is treated rather than specific areas. A full consultation is included  the price and treatments can be carried out as distance Reiki.

Kundalini Yoga

Kundalini yoga is a blend of Bhakti yoga (the yogic practice of devotion and chanting), Raja yoga (the practice of mediation/mental and physical control) and Shakti yoga, (for the expression of power and energy).

The Sanskrit word kundal means “circular,” and it can be a noun for a coiled snake.This concept was adopted as Kundalinī into Hatha yoga in the 15th century and, by the 16th century, was used in the Yoga Upanishads.

The practice of Kundalini yoga is said to arouse the sleeping Kundalini Shakti from its coiled base through the six chakras that reside along the spine, and through the seventh chakra, or crown. Chakras are wheels, or hubs of energy, along which energy or prana, travels like a superhighway to distribute energy throughout the body.

Like a snake being charmed out of a basket, Kundalini weaves and coils, waking up energy and clearing stagnancy along the way

Nowadays Kundalini yoga is a synthesis of many traditions, and the kriyas and meditations in Kundalini Yoga are designed to raise complete body awareness to prepare the body, nervous system, and mind to handle the energy of Kundalini energy rising. Many of the physical postures are designed to activate the navel, spine, and focal points of pressure on meridians (energy points). Through breath work (pranayama) and the application of yogic locks of energy (bandhas), the release, direction, and control of the flow of Kundalini energy is achieved.

The exact origin of Kundalini yoga is unknown, but historical records, referred to as the Upanishads, a sacred Vedic collection of writings dating back to 1000 B. C., cited the science of Kundalini energy and spiritual philosophies. The expression of these was developed over time as a body science, now referred to as kriyas or actions. In other types of yogic practices, these may be referred to as asanas.

Yin Yoga

Yin yoga is based on the Taoist concept of yin and yang, opposite and complementary principles in nature. Yin is the stable, unmoving, hidden aspect of things; yang is the changing, moving, revealing aspect.


In the body, connective tissues (tendons, ligaments, fascia) are yin, while the more mobile and pliable muscles and blood are yang.

Slow, deep and long held postures help to stretch connective tissue. The principle of the exercise is to stress the tissue so the body will respond by strengthening it.

Yoga Nidra

Yoga nidra is a Sanskrit term meaning "yogic sleep". It is a deep relaxation technique and a form of meditation.

Also called "psychic sleep," it is a state between sleeping and waking. The body becomes completely relaxed and during the session I help you to turn your awareness inward by listening similar to guided meditation.


Yoga nidra involves practicing pratyahara  or withdrawal of the senses which helps you develop deep relaxation and expand your self awareness and inner guidance.
